It’s time for the worst awards show of the year — the 37th Annual Golden Raspberry Awards. Here’s how you can watch the Razzies 2017 online.
Unfortunately, 2016 gave us a few less-than-impressive movies. And not only did a lot of blockbuster movies suck, but there are a few comedies that won’t exactly be getting the last laugh either.
Big budget productions like Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Independence Day 2 promised moviegoers an unforgettable experience. However, they delivered some of the most snooze-worthy performances. And as far as Batman v Superman is concerned, the experience was, in fact, super memorable. But, of course, only in the sense that it became the most universally despised film of the year.
On the other hand, The Razzies don’t just go after the lame ducks. Well-respected (and well-liked) actors like Robert De Niro, Naomi Watts, Julia Roberts and Will Ferrell have their moments to shine, too!
Now, in case you didn’t know, the Razzies have been around since the ’80s. And the categories aren’t as arbitrary as you think. It’s the most fun when the winners embrace the fun of the awards show and can laugh at themselves. Obviously, a lot of nominees don’t attend, though. So don’t expect to see Henry Cavill there … but I mean, who knows.
