Who Will Win
People were already captivated with the Emmy-winning miniseries The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story. When the ESPN announced, it’s film O.J.: Made in America people were instantly interested. The five-part miniseries by Ezra Edelman premiered on the ESPN 30 for 30 series guaranteeing a broad audience. The film I Am Not Your Negro should be the winner, but I fear most Academy voters didn’t get the chance to see it due to its late Feb 3, 2017, release date.

Who Will Win
The Iranian-French drama The Salesman is the story of a pair of actors that move into an apartment that was previously owned by a prostitute. Don’t expect the film’s director and writer Asghar Farhadi to show up to the Oscar’s to receive his award. He’s already stated that following President Trump’s order blocking citizens from seven Muslim countries he would not be able to come to the ceremony. In solidarity with Farhadi, his talent agency announces it would cancel its Oscar party and would hold a protest rally.
