Learn More About Iron Fist Before His Netflix Show Premieres

Get a little more excited for “Marvel’s Iron Fist” with this new featurette. And maybe learn a bit more about the character along the way.

I can’t be the only one who has felt a little lackluster regarding Marvel’s Iron Fist. Sure, he’s part of the Defenders and will be part of Marvel’s The Defenders in the fall… but I haven’t really cared about the character.

With the other Marvel Netflix shows–Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage–there’s always been a feeling of mounting excitement leading up to their premieres. Iron Fist feels a little sparse compared to the rest.

With this latest featurette put out by Netflix, however, I’m definitely more excited. Check it out below:

Luke Cage better be in this show. He and Iron First work together a lot in the comics. Although it is pretty cool to see Madame Gao, who’s an easy tie to Daredevil.

How exactly do we think Claire Temple is going to show up? The last we saw her, she was with Luke Cage, getting ready to have some “coffee” before Luke was carted back to prison in Georgia. She’s been in every other Marvel Netflix series.

Plus, Danny Rand has to find his way into the Defenders somehow. Maybe he hires Matt Murdoch to represent him in court–or maybe Foggy Nelson, the more competent lawyer? Or he hires Jessica Jones to do some skulking around Rand Enterprises.

Then again, is anyone else thinking about the Rand Corporation? Any chance we’ll see some reverse vampires?

Regardless, you can bet there’s going to be a heck of a lot of punching going on in this series.
