Seth Meyers Interviews Senator Kirsten Gillibrand and it’s Glorious
Kirsten Gillibrand is the senator from New York state and Seth Meyers got the chance to sit down with her and really talk about our country.
Seth Meyers interviewed Senator Kirsten Gillibrand last night and it was a pretty amazing segment. Normally, Seth has taken on Trump and whatever he did the day leading up to the show in special segments. But with an interview with the New York Senator, it was an episode filled with digs at the president.
“Well what’s happening right now is, unfortunately, President Trump keeps doing horrible things. Literally horrible things. So we have to fight it.” Kirsten was one of the only senators who voted no on most of Trump’s cabinet appointments.
Kirsten is amazing in that she has changed her views based on life experience. Her stance on gun control has famously changed with her appointment into the senate and makes her one of the most important representatives we have.
Gillibrand is also instrumental in trying to get paid leave for Americans. For those who don’t know, we’re one of the only countries without it. Every year, men and women lose thousands of dollars because we do not have it. And Kirsten is fighting to fix it.
The Women’s March on Washington was inspirational to a lot of women and people all over the world but Gillibrand is right. We have the incentive to make a change right now. Especially with the elections coming up in 2018.
