The Winners
2010: The King’s Speech
- Colin Firth won the Best Actor in a Leading Role Oscar. Tom Hooper won the Best Director award. Finally, The King’s Speech took home the Best Original Screenplay.
2011: The Artist
- The Artist also won the Best Actor in a Leading Role (Jean Dujardin), Best Director (Michel Hazanavicius), Best Costume Design, and Best Music for an Original Score Oscars.
2012: Argo
- Argo also snagged the Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Film Editing awards.
2013: 12 Years a Slave
- 12 Years a Slave earned an award for Lupita Nyong’o as the Best Actress in a Supporting Role and the Best Adapted Screenplay Oscar as well.
2014: Birdman, or The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance
- Alejandro G. Iñárritu won the Oscar for Best Director, and Birdman also won for Best Original Screenplay and Best Cinematography.
2015: Spotlight
- Spotlight only won an additional Oscar for Best Original Screenplay.
