It’s Tuesday again, and time for another episode of Face Off. The theme for this week is “Troubling Transformations.” The contestant teams will have to design scary monsters, which seems right up their alley. But, of course, that’s not it. There’s a shocking twist!
The real challenge is to actually give a sense of how their character transforms from human to monster in three stages. That means three separate makeups to show the judges, and probably a great deal of mold drama. The contestants are in for a doozy, as are the models.

Yes, adorable elf couple Niko Gonzalez and Cat Paschen were cursed by the demon of Valentine’s Day and were last week’s bottom look. They made a pretty nice Statue of Liberty, but the challenge was snow queens, not the symbol of freedom and refuge. I will miss you, Cat and Niko. Maybe now that they’re off the show they will let me carry them around in my pocket.
Emily and Tyler were last week’s winning look, with their gorgeously detailed and fantastically well-realized evergreen ice queen. These two are one talented team and I will not be a bit surprised if they win this season.
