Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is a force of nature, and one of the most popular people in the world. He’s number 40 on FanSided’s Fandom 250, so I know I don’t need to sum up his amazing career. You already know.

The Rock is not just one of the most entertaining and charismatic people on Earth. He also gives back. And gives and gives and gives. The Rock has his own charity, the Dwayne Johnson Rock Foundation, helping under-served and sick children. He also gives his time to multiple children’s charities. He’s always visiting sick children for the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Kid’s Wish Network, and other organizations. Johnson also supports causes that expose kids to the arts, and look for cures for AIDS and Parkinson’s.

I don’t know where he finds time for all this charity work between eating all that cod.

The Rock almost made my list of celebrities who need to run for office. He’s actually the one who started this whole famous-people-who-should-run-for-office in the first place. But I hesitated because of he is a registered Republican. The thing is, he is a good, moderate republican–an endangered species. The Rock is a uniter, not a divider. I mean, the NAACP recognized him as Entertainer of the Year at this year’s 48th Image Awards.

He’s definitely open to the idea of running for office

You know what? If The Rock is the one who can save the soul of the Grand Old Party, I guess we should thank him.
