Reports of Mark Hamill’s Death Currently Exaggerated
For a moment, fans had their blood run cold but then Mark Hamill tweeted and we all released that the death rumors were false.
Today, Sky Neiws on Twitter, a parody news account, tweeted that Mark Hamill had passed away. For fans of the Star Wars actor, our blood ran cold when we thought we had lost another beloved actor.
And then Mark Hamill retweeted it and said that he is very much still alive and so we’re all fine now. Everything’s fine here.
How are you?
For a moment though, it seemed as if the world had stopped. Not because of another celebrity death, but because this would have been the second death in the Star Wars universe within three months. And we’re still not over Carrie, we couldn’t have taken losing Mark too.
Lucky for us, it was a mean joke. Which is all we wanted it to be. While we love parody and we think jokes are funny, this one broke our hearts a little bit too much because Mark is just such a light in our lives. So this joke wasn’t really a joke but more so one of those things where we all screamed “how could you???” when we realized it’s fake.
At least Mark has a bit of humor about the situation. Without him, the news probably would have circulated until someone clicked on the account and saw that it was all parody. Until then, we all would have cried and written obituaries for a while until someone told us it was a lie.

So Mark, please make sure you and Harrison are fine. Keep him away from planes and you, just make sure you’re as healthy as can be. We need our favorite jedi alive and well!
