Game of Thrones Season 7: Shadowy Spoilers

A particular actor on Game of Thrones has hinted that things may get still more interesting in the remaining episodes of the show.

Warning: These comments represent only possible spoilers for the future of Game of Thrones. However, they start right below this paragraph.

Game of Thrones appears to mostly have finished its filming for the seventh season, if Kit Harington and Emilia Clarke’s respective recent appearances on social media indicate anything. However, that doesn’t mean that the show’s cast can’t drop other teasers here and there. One might even say that we’ve even heard a whisper or two. Psst!

Conleth Hill had a chat with The Huffington Post recently, and he went so far as to suggest that Varys and Petyr “Littlefinger” “Has a Creepy Fixation on Sansa Stark” Baelish may very well share a screen once more. (Our sister site, Winter is Coming, also found this interview.) Of course, he demurred and said things were “not definite,” but to bring Littlefinger up specifically has our, WiC’s, and Huffington’s collective eyebrows wiggling.

We agree with WiC and Huffington that this likely means that something will go down between the two of them, mostly placing Varys on Daenerys’ side and Littlefinger on that of Sansa Stark and thus Jon Snow. We just have a silly idea about how that may happen.

A silly Game of Thrones story follows.

The meeting between the King in the North and the new Targaryen claimant to the Iron Throne was not going well. Daenerys wouldn’t deign to speak to Jon Snow, and the opposite was true as well.

Neither Varys nor Littlefinger really wanted to be here anyway — their jobs were meant to be done in secret — but here they were, and they had a new job: carrying messages between their respective sovereigns.

“The King in the North would like me to tell you to tell Daenerys Targaryen that any attempts to rule over the North will result in a war, and his family’s words are ‘Winter is Coming,'” Littlefinger sneered.

Varys shuffled back to Daenerys, then back out to the middle. “The Queen of the Seven Kingdoms wishes me to tell you that her family’s words are ‘Fire and Blood,'” he said calmly.

Back and forth, back and forth, until even Varys started to become angry. Finally, as things came back around once again to the family words, both men whirled on their own sovereigns and snapped in unison:

I’m not a raven!”

(Who says they can’t reference Harry Potter?)
