Game of Thrones Season 7: A Musical Conclusion

As Game of Thrones Season 7 filming comes to an end, a certain main cast member has let us know that that’s happening with a little music.

Game of Thrones will soon return, since the show has almost finished filming. We know thanks to none other than Emilia Clarke. Yes, the woman behind Daenerys Targaryen has let us know via Instagram that she has about a day left of filming as of sometime on Friday.

Take it away, Mother of Dragons.

What? She still has her Dany hair on. It counts.

“I Believe I Can Fly” by R. Kelly has all sorts of connotations, doesn’t it? (We’re reminded of Drogon and Dany going for a flight last season.) The caption also reads, “That feeling when at last you’re a day away from wrapping season 7. I BELIEVE THIS ONES GONNA BE A MIND BLOWER #itakemyjobseriouslyiSWEAR”.

Naturally, we have a very silly idea about this all.

Welcome to Westerosi Idol(A Very Silly Idea)

All of the people vying for the Iron Throne have decided that instead of killing each other, it may be best to settle who takes the crown via none other than a singing contest. Our contestants are Jon Snow, Cersei Lannister, and Daenerys Targaryen.

Well, King in the North? Your selection? “History Has Its Eyes on You” from Hamilton? (Or, more specifically, The Hamilton Mixtape?) Not a bad choice, especially considering your true parentage.

As for Cersei Lannister, we think a villainess’ song would suit. “Trust in Me“? With Scarlett Johansson’s version for The Jungle Book, it’s certainly possible. Of course, we don’t trust the all-black wearing queen at all.

And we think it’s quite obvious what Daenerys Targaryen would pick. “I Believe I Can Fly“. Thanks, R. Kelly. She can touch the sky.
