How to Get Away with Murder: 3 Questions for Episode 13

For this week’s episode of How to Get Away with Murder, we have questions about both the flashback and the current events of the series.

How to Get Away with Murder‘s ABC press page lists just three episodes left in this season, with the last two episodes airing the same night. (Two hours of twists, turns, and reveals? Yes! Prepare your hearts now.) In other words, there are just three hours left before Murder leaves us until this fall.

That doesn’t mean that we can’t ask questions about where the show is going, though. In fact, as is our wont around these parts, we have these questions for episode 13 this week. If you missed the last episode, check out Culturess’ recap, and then read on!

Who did Wes call?

After losing Frank’s tail and getting into a cab, Wes placed a call to someone labeled only “In Case of Emergency” in his phone. Since it didn’t seem like Nate was waiting for him in the later flashback, it seems reasonable to conclude Wes didn’t call him. It could easily have been someone we haven’t even met yet in the course of the show.

We can’t see it being any of the other Keating 5 members. However, it could also have been Annalise, who would have known him by his use of his original name, Christophe. That could explain why he went to her house later that night, although that doesn’t necessarily explain why she wasn’t there to greet him.

Where’s Wes’ body?

The district attorney’s office has actually lost Wes’ corpse. Bonnie used that as part of her case to secure Annalise bail finally. Someone pretending to be Nate — or Nate himself — signed the transfer orders that led to the corpse disappearing. Right now, we lean towards the body being concealed somewhere. Frank probably could have done it prior to his confession, as that’s pretty much right within his old job description. However, he may have been recognized, and it seems like the body went missing after the confession.

Is Laurel okay?

Well, since her significant other died and left her pregnant, it is pretty safe to say that Laurel is not okay. However, her actions since getting out of the hospital suggest that she’s still quite traumatized and may hinder rather than help the rest of the Keating Four, Oliver, and Annalise as they try to stay one step ahead of the police. Michaela has taken on the responsibility of taking care of her, but even Michaela doesn’t seem to be in the greatest of places right now, either. As more information comes out about Wes’ death, could Laurel decide she wants nothing more than to blame Annalise for everything that’s happened and go to the police, like he did?
