Where to Watch the Final Two Episodes of HBO’s The Young Pope
It’s been a long journey in and out of the Vatican. Now we get to see if this young papacy has enough power to stay on top for the final two episodes of HBO’s Limited Series The Young Pope.
The papacy of Pope Pius XIII hasn’t been an easy one. Lenny Belardo (Jude Law) has experienced staunch opposition and a rise in Catholics abandoning the church. Now, there’s only two episodes of HBO’s captivating Limited Series The Young Pope, and we could be looking at the end of an era, or the beginning of a new religious reign.
Stick around if you want a link to the livestream.

What happened?
Lenny finally made his first visit outside the Vatican (or the Castel Gandolfo summer home) and made a papal voyage to Africa. There, he was not only able to connect with a wide berth of Catholics, he did it all without showing his face to the masses. A nun who ran her Catholic community like a internment camp was essentially prayed to death by Lenny. The dozens of journalists who accompanied the pope crew to Africa will certainly have a lot to write about.
There’s also the matter of Lenny’s blatant parental abandonment issues, which looks to be something he’s keeping on the back burner for now. But we never know when something will pop up.

What’s next?
In the preview, the looming Kurtwell child abuse case looks like it’s coming to a head. We even see a few shots of the archbishop himself, played by Guy Boyd, who threatens the very fabric of the cloth with what looks like a dossier kept under wraps. Cardinal Gutierrez remains in New York but is being pursued by a man who wants to keep things as silent as the grave. And he Vatican’s marketing director is starting her scramble to counterbalance any sort of negative press Lenny is about to receive.
Meanwhile, it looks like Esther (Ludivine Sagnier) will be back for the next few episodes, after taking her husband and baby and flying the Vatican coop. And Cardinal Michael Spencer (James Cromwell) is confined to a wheelchair, but offers Lenny guidance anyway. So far, there’s no sign of Cardinal Voiello (Silvio Orlando) but there’s always something up that guy’s sleeve. We’ll see how he and all the major characters play their cards in the final two episodes
