Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Lena Headey…In the Same Movie

Dwayne Johnson and Lena Headey will star in a movie together, and we can only imagine that they’re currently saying “You’re welcome, universe.”

Honestly, Dwayne Johnson’s presence basically improves any movie he’s in. San Andreas? Better because the Rock wants to save his daughter. Baywatch, even though it’s not out yet? He puts Zac Efron to shame. We’ve seen the trailer. We know of what we speak. A movie about wrestling? That’s a complete and total no-brainer.

He’s great. He does not need a great co-star, but it certainly helps.

Entertainment Weekly reports that Lena Headey — Cersei Lannister, for the uninitiated — will star in the film, Fighting With My Family, as the mother of two aspiring wrestlers. We can think of only one way that this could be improved: for the two actors’ characters to be married. Alas, EW reports that Johnson’s role is only “supporting”.

Take a deep breath, sigh, and then come with us into an alternate story, similar to but not quite the same as the Westeros we already know and love.

Silly Game of Thrones stories follow.

We’ve already sort of speculated how wrestling promos might work for the world of Westeros. Can we just also take a moment to ask how things would go down if Jaime Lannister were played by The Rock instead?

Obviously, the script wouldn’t need to change, because The Rock knows how to snark and to lay the verbal (and physical) smackdown (the video does contain some language) when need be, and Jaime does the same every once in a while. Sure, the whole creepy twin thing probably wouldn’t make any visual sense, but we can dream, right?

Wait — we have a better idea. Next time they need a new Mountain, they should just call him. We’re sure some CGI could make him seem taller and buffer than he already is. We’d watch it, even though he’d have to play a basically mute zombie.

See above: Dwayne Johnson improves basically everything he’s in.
