“Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD” Season 4 Episode 13 Synopsis: “Boom”

With the reveal of LMD!May to the rest of our SHIELD team, Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD leaves its main cast reeling from the betrayal of someone they thought was their friend.

You would think they would be used to this kind of thing by now. I mean, Grant Ward was a big one, especially with Coulson killing him with his own robotic hand. And then he still came back! How any of them are still functioning, emotional people… well, let’s just say it’s television logic.

Agents of SHIELD knows how to work emotional beats and baggage, and the show doesn’t usually slow down in its relentless beating of the characters. So what does this week’s episode bring?

Here’s the official synopsis, courtesy of ABC:

"Daisy, Mace and the S.H.I.E.L.D. team must find a way to contain an explosive Inhuman. Meanwhile, Coulson and Mack come face-to-face with Radcliffe’s inspiration for Aida."

They’re swinging some of the focus away from just LMDs and trying to find May and bringing it back to the Inhumans. With the Watch Dogs an integrated part of the bad guy regime this season, it makes sense. The focus waned from Inhumans for a bit, and with Senator Nadeer on a murderous rampage (so to speak), we need to understand just how ostracized these don’t-call-us-mutants really are.

Plus, it’ll be nice to see Mace and Daisy teaming up. With Daisy being an Inhuman and Mace truly, genuinely wanting to help them become equal citizens, they’ll fight until their mission is done. And they play well off each other, which is just a bonus.
