The Best and Worst Commercials of Super Bowl 51
By I. A. Melton
Wendy’s
We get it, Wendy’s. Your beef patties are not frozen. Your twitter account does better marketing than this 5 million dollar ad.
Mercedes
Mercedes thought they hit a touchdown with this homage to the movie Easy Rider. They even manage to get actor Peter Fonda and his American flag jacket for the commercial, but it just fell flat.
The Battle Evony
I’ve never heard of The Battle of Evony, but now they have assured themselves I will never play the game.
Tide
So this is what Gronk has been doing while he’s been injured. Stick to football Gronk.
TurboTax
TurboTax wants people to use the app to do their taxes. While the Humpty Dumpty storyline is amusing but the visuals left much to be desired. The egg yolk leaking might be the grossest part.
Febreze
Not a fan of commercials that wax poetically about when to use the bathroom or the smell. Yea, me neither.
