The Martian battle between J’onn J’onnz and the White Martians will continue and David Harewood released the first look at the team-up for Supergirl.

Supergirl‘s move to The CW gave it a few opportunities to spread its wings. Obviously, their character line-up shifted and budget increased. In addition to featuring a resident alien in Hank, the show also added Miss Martian to the fold.

Unfortunately, Supergirl squandered this opportunity a little bit.

Now, let me run through her story arc quickly: M’gann worked at the alien bar introduced into “Welcome to Earth”. When Hank first met her, he felt anxious to meet another survivor. But unfortunately, we learned that she was really a White Martian in disguise. Of course, J’onn hates White Martians because they killed all his people. J’onn didn’t discover the truth until M’gann donated some of her blood, which started to turn J’onn into a White Martian himself.

Afterward, he pretty much stopped talking to her. While it seems like a lot, this only amounted to a few minutes of screen time in every episode.

But according to the new synopsis, J’onn will intervene on M’gann’s behalf to keep her safe from the White Martians:

"WHITE MARTIANS ATTACK THE DEO — Armek (guest star Terrell Tilford), a White Martian, descends on National City intent on taking M’gann (guest star Sharon Leal) back to Mars to face her punishment as a traitor. Hank (David Harewood) and Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) determine the best way to keep M’gann safe is to bring her to the DEO. However, when it is revealed that Armek shape-shifted into M’gann and is now loose in the building, the team realize he could be disguised as any one of them."

And to accompany the synopsis, the real Martian Manhunter, David Harewood, posted the episode’s poster to his Instagram.

I want all these fight scenes, please! Also, I’m glad they used Martian Manhunter on the poster and not Fake Hank.
