The Crown cast continues to grow and grow and now, Matthew Goode has nabbed himself a role on the critically acclaimed Netflix series.

Everyone is talking about The Crown recently and whether it is because of the show itself or because of spoilers, we all seem to love it. By spoilers we mean real life deaths in the family seeing as it is, after all history.

So when it was announced that Antony Armstrong-Jones died earlier this year, many began wondering who would play Lord Snowdon on the show. For those who don’t know, Antony Armstrong-Jones was married to Princess Margaret for 18 years before the two divorced. They had two children and Snowdon just died this January.

So now, the wait for the actor to play Lord Snowdon is over. Historical hottie Matthew Goode will be taking on the role of the society photographer and filmmaker. And honestly, it is going to be pretty amazing.

Matthew Goode, famous for roles in countless period dramas as well as The Watchmen, was the love interest in Downton Abbey as well as A Single ManBrideshead Revisited, and more classic pieces. There is just something about him that fits perfectly in a good period drama and no one is questioning it.

And truly Matthew Goode being added to anything makes it infinitely better. But when it comes to The Crown, it was already nearly perfect to begin with! This just makes the pot a little sweeter.
