Victoria on PBS: Episode 2 Live Stream and Start Time
Victoria continues tonight, with the idea of marriage starting to play a major part in the plot. Here’s where and how to tune in.
Unfortunately, Victoria can’t stay 18 forever, not even on her own TV series. The young queen has to grow up, and the PBS series of the same name isn’t wasting much time in moving things forward. This week’s episode, “Brocket Hall“, will see things grow ever more complicated, this time because Victoria does have to get married, at least according to the precepts of her time.
There’s just one not-so-tiny problem. She’s a queen regnant. Those same precepts really didn’t know how to handle the idea of a woman in power. That means the search will take some time.
Meanwhile, other things will also happen, like an uprising by the Chartists. (Like last episode’s Bedchamber Crisis, it’s another thing that really did happen.) Additionally, to help satisfy the fancy clothing quota that every period show seems to have, there’s going to be a costume ball this episode.

Did you catch that wig of Victoria’s? It is very much a wig, and it’s…well, it’s very blonde. Also, check out that ruff! Someone’s trying to live up to the use of Gloriana in her theme music.
It also looks like things with Lord Melbourne will continue to veer between vaguely awkward and actually intriguing, since this version of the queen really does appear to have a massive crush on him. We can’t really judge for it, though; Rufus Sewell’s Lord M does wear a top hat very nicely.
