Where to Watch HBO’s New Limited Series The Young Pope
Since Game of Thrones won’t grace our TVs for another few months, HBO has to satiate our need for a high-stakes drama (with fabulous set design), by rolling out the limited series The Young Pope.
He’s called himself a “contradiction,” a “revolution,” and God. Jude Law delivers a fresh take on Catholicism in the new HBO limited series The Young Pope. What we’re about to experience is a joint effort between Sky Atlantic, HBO, and Canal+, to show what happens when the world elects a 47-year-old Pope who is not all that he seems.
You can take a look at the official trailer below, and stay tuned to see where you can catch all the controversial action for yourself.
Directed by Academy Award winning Italian filmmaker Paolo Sorrentino, this series follows Pope Lenny Belardo, aka Pope Pius XIII. He’s the first American Pope in history, who has a lot of ideas for changing the face of the Catholic Church. Diane Keaton stars alongside him as Sister Mary, the American nun who raised Belardo in a New York orphanage.
This series originally ran in Europe back in October on Sky Atlantic, but HBO is bringing it back stateside starting tomorrow. We’ll get to see two episodes per week in the prime time slot, which will be the weekly pattern until the series airs in its entirety. However, you can always check YouTube for a couple clips if you just can’t wait.
