HBO will air the documentary Bright Lights: Starring Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds for the first time tonight. Here’s how to watch it online.

HBO’s airing of Bright Lights: Starring Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds comes as a result of the hard-hitting loss of both actresses this past December within one day of each other. However, it seems like this documentary will be a good way to remember the two Hollywood icons — and the close mother and daughter relationship they shared.

According to HBO’s official page, this documentary is a look into not just the more recent events in the lives of both Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds, but also into their lives. Of course, the official synopsis also promises plenty of humor. We would expect no less from either of these women.

Additionally, the documentary features footage from the family throughout the years, not just from this filming, detailing the relationship of Debbie Reynolds and Eddie Fisher among other events. The synopsis also promises that it’s “is an intimate portrait of Hollywood royalty in all its eccentricity”.

Just from the trailer alone, we believe it. You can watch that below, although you may want to prepare your heart first.

The documentary runs for an hour and a half.

Below, check out the details for watching Bright Lights live on HBO tonight.

Date: Saturday, Jan. 7

Start time: 8 p.m. ET

TV channel: HBO

Live streams: HBO Go | HBO Now | Additional resources

Afterwards, HBO will air a brief look at the film Hidden Figures, which is currently in theaters, and then its first run of the movie Demolition. Although we have nothing against either movie, we would also recommend checking out Carrie Fisher’s Wishful Drinking, also available through HBO on demand.

Next: Carrie and Debbie: A Mother-Daughter Love Story

If you end up missing it, the documentary will also become available on HBO Now, Go, and via on demand services.
