The Great American Baking Show Episode 7 Live Stream: Watch Online

The semi-finals of The Great American Baking Show have finally arrived, and there will be three tough challenges for the remaining bakers.

After a week off for the new year, The Great American Baking Show will return with a fresh episode. The semi-finals have arrived to test the remaining bakers, and Mary Berry and Johnny Iuzzini have not given up on making sure that the proof is in the pudding, so to speak. 

Well, more accurately, they want to see if the proof is in the pastry. After all, it’s patisserie week, according to the new release. Things will start off in the Signature challenge with two dozen petits fours with sponge cake, a glacé finish. They’re small, but that doesn’t make them easy. Can you already hear Mary and Johnny talking about consistency. I can. For the Technical, it’s time to make the donuts — French crullers, to be exact. Yes, that means that there will be some deep-frying involved. We expect at least one baker to be absolutely baffled by the fryer, whether it be oil temperature or just frying time in general.

Finally, to make it to the finals, they’ll need to make it through the Showstopper, and a mille-feuille can really stop the show if you can master all the tough techniques involved, which include puff pastry and flavor combinations, since we’re sure Mary and Johnny won’t be happy with just the basics. The release also promises that there will be a short time frame to complete this challenge, since just the pastry wasn’t tough enough, obviously.
