Known as the fastest man ever timed, Usain Bolt told the world he wants to be in the upcoming The Flash movie with Ezra Miller.
If you’re into sports, the fastest man alive is Usain Bolt. But if you’re a nerd, the fastest man alive is Barry Allen, otherwise known as The Flash. While Usain Bolt can run 100 meters in under ten seconds, the Scarlet Speedster runs faster than just about everything.
During an interview, Bolt admitted that he would “maybe do a cameo in The Flash.” Which, by the nature of cameos, could mean literally anything. He could be the cashier at Starbucks or the guy at Foot Locker selling Barry Allen a new pair of running shoes. According to Bolt, he may “talk to some people” to make it happen. So if he does, it would be a great idea.
Unfortunately, The Flash seems to be struggling. The project lost not one, but two directors. First, Seth Grahame-Smith, then Rick Famuyima, who also brought on Kiersey Clemons and Billy Crudup. So, along with the lackluster reception of Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad, 2016 was as bad to the DC Extended Universe as it was to us. They need a win. A cool, 9.81 seconds win universally adored by the world at large.
Obviously, anything larger than a cameo would be a bit like stunt-casting. But Bolt’s inclusion could also show that the DCEU plans to lighten the tone of their future films. Of course, it would also be a sweet nod to sports side of life.

Though the film has yet to find another director, they retained Phil Lord and Chris Miller’s (the guys from the Han Solo movie) script, and plan to start shooting in London soon. Without a director, that’s obviously subject to change.
