Blade Runner 2049 May Have Some Surprise Guest Stars

The sequel in the Blade Runner series is shaping up to be one of the highly anticipated movies of 2017 but who is all coming back for it?

According to reports via Nerdist, Blade Runner 2049 will feature an original replicant in the new movie. What we don’t know is what replicant is going to be making an appearance.

For those who don’t know, replicants are what Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford) is searching for throughout the entirety of the original Blade Runner. He ends up falling in love with Rachael, who is a replicant herself, and many speculated whether or not Rick was a replicant as well.

Clearly, that is not the case. Why? Again, if you don’t know the movie then you probably don’t know that replicants can’t age. And since Harrison Ford is reprising his role as Rick in Blade Runner 2049 at the age of 74 (when he was 40 when the movie was released), it is clear that Rick can, in fact, age.

Fans are excited (no matter that one of the most debated Blade Runner rumors is now proven false) to see Rick back in action. And it helps that his counterpart if Ryan Gosling. Maybe it is Ridley Scott’s attempt to get a younger audience interested in the beloved film.

Either way, the trailer makes this new movie seem absolutely amazing and we can’t wait to see it! The question now is, what replicant is going to make a comeback in Blade Runner 2049? Could Rachael actually make an appearance?
