Carrie Fisher is to Have Some Remains Buried with Debbie Reynolds

Last week we tragically lost both Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher within a day of one another. Now, they’ll be together forever.

When Debbie Reynolds died not 48 hours after her daughter, Carrie Fisher, everyone was intrigued about whether or not the two would be buried together. Reports from Entertainment Tonight are now coming in that Carrie has been cremated and some of her remains will, in fact, be buried with her mother.

The two were Hollywood icons of two different generations. Debbie was famous for her role as Kathy Selden in the classic movie musical Singin’ in the Rain. She changed the face of Hollywood when she didn’t let the sexism of that movie stop her from following her dreams. And she remained an icon until her death.

With Carrie, we all know and love her for her portrayal of Princess Leia Organa in the Star Wars series. She was also an accomplished writer and screenwriter and her work remains classics among fans.

The two changed the way women were looked at in Hollywood and continued to work until their dying day. Debbie regularly did her club show and Carrie was filming Catastrophe when she had a heart attack on the plane right back to Los Angeles. Debbie unfortunately suffered a stroke the day after Carrie’s death and Todd Fisher (her son) said that Debbie only wanted to be with Carrie after the Star Wars actress had passed.

A public memorial is being planned for months down the line and all we know for certain is that Fisher was cremated. Every other bit of information is still unknown.
