With the death of Carrie Fisher still hanging heavy on our hearts, we’ve decided to list 10 reasons why Carrie is the hero we all deserved.

Carrie Fisher unfortunately passed away at the age of 60 last week, and fans all over the world mourned the loss of their favorite princess. But Carrie did a lot more than just star in the Star Wars series as Princess Leia.

She was a mental health advocate, accomplished author and so much more! So we’re going to go through 10 reasons why Carrie Fisher is the hero we all deserve. There are plenty more reasons than just 10, but we had to cut the list somewhere. Plus, it still hurts a little to talk about Carrie.

So here, we want to just praise the woman who taught us all that it was okay to be whoever we are. Whether we are a little quirky or we need help to get through the day, we are loved and can do whatever we put our minds to and Carrie Fisher taught us that.

Through her work to make everyone understand bipolar disorder and mental health issues from her writing and acting work, Carrie had continually shown us to just be who we wanted to be and never apologize for it. And for that, we will always love and cherish her and all that she has given us.
