Billie Lourd Discusses Mother and Grandmother’s Passing

Last week, we dealt with the loss of two icons. Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds died within 36 hours of each other. Billie Lourd is finally speaking.

Billie Lourd, the daughter of Carrie Fisher, lost not just her mother last week but also her beloved grandmother, Debbie Reynolds. Since their deaths, many fans have sent their thoughts and prayers to Billie at this trying time.

The 24 year-old actress, famous for her work on Scream Queens and playing a small role in Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens alongside her mother, has been pretty silent on social media.

Today however, she finally spoke out with a heartfelt message about her Abadaba and her Momby. In an Instagram post featuring a young Billie, Carrie, and Debbie Reynolds, Billie expressed her gratitude for the support and also how much she’d miss the two icons.

They were both beloved for their work by millions, but it was truly special to see how everyone banded together to remember them and send their well wishes to Billie. So many times when celebrities die, we forget that they leave behind husbands and wives and children and so many other loved ones.

But with Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds, it seemed as if everyone was thinking of Billie and her uncle at the time. And still, we hope that Billie can cope with the loss. We all lost heroes and icons and seeing something like this from Billie is truly remarkable.
