6. The Real Housewives of New York City – Bravo – 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday

Being a housewife in New York City myself (I’m married to my work), I can say with full certainty that I have virtually nothing in common with these women. They live in a lap of luxury that this Manhattanite can only dream. about (for now). So, as it stands, I’m resigned to watching the lavishness unfold from afar with another marathon of Real Housewives on Bravo.

Starting at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, we’ll be plopped down in the middle of Season 8, until we finish the “Reunion Special Part 3” at 8:00 p.m. Join Luann, Bethenny, Ramona, Sonja, Morgan, Carole, Dorinda, and Jules as they navigate the giant bubble that is New York City. Being tough-talking ladies with beautiful penthouses, these are the kinds of folks who will never sugar-coat their words or even hesitate when giving an unpopular opinion.

It’s sort of fun watching reality TV marathons like this one. You get easily sucked into everyone else’s drama, which allows you to forget about your own for a while. These ladies just look a bit more glamorous doing it. Though sometimes, I have to keep reminding myself that appearance isn’t everything, no matter how many fabulous dinner parties I invariably miss out on.
