9. Understanding of Love

Love Actually does a really good job of teaching us about love. Weird, right? Never would have guessed it. But in actuality, it does a really good job of showing us all different stages of love. We get to see unrequited, a marriage falling apart, people falling in love and then a relationship that just doesn’t work out.

It is just a nice thing to see in movies. Normally we get the same thing. You either have a happy couple or one falling apart. We never really get to see a whole different group of relationships trying to figure themselves out.

But in general, the movie focuses all its efforts on love. That’s why it has its name.

In all seriousness, the movie just teaches us that love is all around us and that all can find it if we know where to look. And that even if people are falling out of love, there is hope that things can work out around the holidays.

Yes, Karen and Harry had their problems but they are working on themselves for their family and it is one of the more important things in the film. Love is important and we just have to figure out what to do with it.
