Jimmy Buffett, “Mele Kalikimaka”

I really think Jimmy Buffett is ridiculous, but how can you not put one of his Christmas tunes on the list? This one, one of my faves, is one that’s fun for everyone. For those who live in the Midwest, we don’t have the luxury of heading to the beach over Christmas or enjoying the sunny, warm weather during the winter months. We can, however, live vicariously through this song, which reminds me of a vacation I took to Maui about ten years ago. I can put this song on, close my eyes, and imagine having my toes in the sand and the sun kissing my [very pale] skin.

Since most of the U.S. is in the same boat as me, and some will be facing a blizzard over the Christmas weekend, a little Buffett and some “Mele Kalikimaka” seemed appropriate.
