Jane Lynch, “We Three Kings”, “A Swingin’ Little Christmas Time”

We all knew that Jane Lynch could sing and perform from her many awesome performances on the TV show Glee, but now she’s entering the world of official recording artists with her full-length Christmas album, A Swingin’ Little Christmas!, which was released this year. The album features Kate Flannery (The Office), Tim Davis (producer for Glee), and The Tony Guerrero Quintet, a well-known jazz ensemble.

The album includes several Christmas classics covered by the trio and five new songs, including “A Swingin’ Little Christmas Time”, seen above. The entire album is festive and jazzy and the three vocalists (Jane, Kate, and Tim) are very good at harmonizing and sharing the star power. My hope is that “A Swingin’ Little Christmas Time” will come on and people will want to know, “Who is this?” I’ve also included “We Three Kings”, which is more well-known.

"We three kings of Orient are Bearing gifts we traverse afar. Field and fountain, moor and mountain, Following yonder star. O star of wonder, star of night, Star of royal beauty bright, Westward leading, still proceeding, Guide us to thy perfect light. Born a king on Bethlehem’s plain, Gold I bring to crown Him again, King forever, ceasing never Over us all to reign."
