Jimmy Durante, “Frosty the Snowman”
“Frosty the Snowman” is a staple for children. No kids at your party? Not a problem. This one will remind your guests of past Christmases with their kids and grandkids, or remind them of the magic of the season when they were a kid. Watching Frosty is a tradition in a lot of households, but even if people never did watch the cartoon (blasphemy), then they at least know the song. And this is the original.
I didn’t add many “kid” Christmas/ Holiday songs to the playlist, but I just could not pass this one up. And if you do have kids at your holiday parties, this one will definitely get them smiling and dancing.
"Frosty the snowman was a jolly happy soul With a corncob pipe and a button nose And two eyes made out of coal Frosty the snowman is a fairytale they say He was made of snow but the children Know how he came to life one day There must have been some magic in that old silk hat they found For when they placed it on his head He began to dance around Frosty the snowman Was alive as he could be And the children say he could laugh And play just the same as you and me"
