5. Sirius Black and Harry’s Only Christmas

Sirius Black came into Harry’s life in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Unfortunately for them, his time was cut short. With the Yule Ball in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Harry only managed to get one Christmas in with his godfather. And what a weird Christmas it ended up being.

Harry was torn and was afraid he was letting darkness take over him. But Sirius, being the wonderful man that he is, helped Harry.

"I want you to listen to me very carefully Harry. You’re not a bad person. You’re a very good person who bad things have happened to. You understand? Besides, the world isn’t split into good people and Death Eaters. We’ve all got both light and dark inside of us. What matters is the part we choose to act on. That’s who we really are."

The saddest part was when Sirius then said they would be a proper family once it was all over, since we know what happened to Sirius Black. But it still holds true to how amazing Sirius was with Harry. Yes, there are arguments about him seeing him more as James than a different person but still, Sirius Black stepped up and took care of his godson as he was meant to.
