24. Shara Bey and Kes Dameron

Parents happen to be important in Star Wars…especially if you’re Anakin Skywalker, since you have one parent and also mystical midichlorians. Shara Bey and Kes Dameron are the parents of hotshot pilot Poe Dameron. Shara was a pilot for the Rebel Alliance, and Kes served in the infantry. The two of them feature pretty heavily in the Star Wars: Shattered Empire comic miniseries, which helped build up to The Force Awakens and immediately followed Return of the Jedi.

However, if Rogue One does well, there may be an even bigger market for stories set during the Rebellion or in periods between the original films. With Shara and Kes, you have the opportunity to show off great space battles and planetside action scenes, a good romance, and some Luke and Leia. (Shara in particular worked with both Skywalker twins.)

For them, we could see an animated series meant for teens to adults, in order to include the proper romance. Shattered Empire earned a T+ rating from Marvel, and it should keep that sort of rating if it were to provide the inspiration for a miniseries or series of some sort. Additionally, there would be a chance to see young Poe Dameron, and we have no objections to that at all.
