4. Obi-Wan Kenobi

Ewan McGregor earned a spot on our Hottest Men of 2016 list, and he also actually wants to come back and play Obi-Wan Kenobi again. Case closed, basically.

However, he makes a very good case in the interview with Premiere magazine. Kudos to Den of Geek for translating the following quotes from the interview: “It would be fun to film that story now I’m older. I’d be the right age. I’m 45, Alec Guinness was what, 60? I could do two of them!”

Guinness was 63 in 1977 for the filming of A New Hope, but who’s keeping score? The point remains, though, that McGregor is now right at the perfect in-between age for another Obi-Wan story.

If he’s willing to do it, Disney should happily start speaking to him for a potential Obi-Wan Kenobi: A Star Wars Story. It rolls off the tongue, doesn’t it?

There’s just one problem. Obi-Wan Kenobi spent the years between the original films and the prequels on Tatooine, ostensibly to look after Luke Skywalker. However, that’s a long period to stay on one planet. Perhaps he took short trips off planet to continue helping others with his lightsaber skills?

Otherwise, we could see a young Luke Skywalker’s first meeting with Obi-Wan and a Tatooine-based adventure.
