If you haven’t been watching This Is Us, then you are not living. Beware, spoilers ahead!

The show has been hailed as NBC’s new Parenthood. If you aren’t sure about the TV show Parenthood, either, then you need to spend a little bit of time on Netflix. Parenthood followed the Braverman family– is what I would call a “Slice of LIfe” TV show– through their successes and failures and all of the trials and hilarious familial dramas that happen in between. NBC gave us six seasons of Parenthood, which are all available through Netflix.

This Is Us, then, follows the Pearson family and intertwines the stories of the triplets in their adult lives, and that of their parents when they were raising the children. From the NBC website:

The Christmas special is sure to be a tear-jerker. Most of the episodes are. So get your tissues ready!
