Okay well Abraham Lincoln was the President of the United States of America and he freed the slaves. But the movie Lincoln has nothing to do with the political standings in America. It is a light hearted tale about a journey to a theater to see a play. That’s all!

No, in reality, Lincoln doesn’t really have a fandom but the President himself does. It is one of those weird things in America where we are obsessed with a President who has been dead long before any of us were alive. It’s like how a lot of millennials are obsessed with John F. Kennedy even though he was shot years before they were even thought about.

But there are certain presidents we love and want to talk about and still, people act like they don’t want to talk about the politics behind these men. They were presidents. You can’t really avoid talking about their political goals and dreams when addressing Abraham Lincoln.
