1. Make A Self-Care Appointment

Go and get your nails done, finally make that hair appointment you’ve been putting off. Do it now and make yourself feel better. Today isn’t about making a stand or fighting, it’s about regrouping and figuring out what to do next.

And to do the right thing, we all have to be in the right mindset. So make sure you’re healthy and happy before trying to fight the patriarchy today. Go and do whatever makes you feel relaxed. For some, it’s getting your nails done or getting a haircut.

If you’re not that type of person, then do whatever self-care works for you. Get a massage or refuse to shower, whatever makes you feel like a better person. Everyone is in a fog right now and if going to get a facial is going to make you feel like you again then go and do it.

We’re all in mourning, even if you won. Our country is so unbelievably divided. We’re torn apart and in order to work to fix it all, we need to first fix ourselves. So breathe, find out what post-election you is like, and go and do whatever self-care you need to make you feel like yourself again.
