7:04 PM ET:

Outlets like CBS have not yet called South Carolina or Georgia.

Not a great sign for Trump this early. NBC News has dubbed Georgia too close to call this early.

Additionally, here’s an updated electoral map from NBC.

7:00 PM ET:

Hillary Clinton has won the state of Vermont, with 3 electoral votes, per ABC News’ projection:

ABC News and NBC also project that Donald Trump will win Indiana and Kentucky. The AP has also called these races:

6:54 PM ET:

The Washington Post reports that officials believe four people were injured in Azusa, California in a shooting. At this time, it is unclear whether or not the shooting had to do with voting or not. The shooting happened near two polling places, however.

Additionally, six states will begin closing polls at 7 p.m. ET. Remember, if you are in line to vote when a poll closes, you still have the right to vote.

6:40 PM ET:

A polling place in Azusa, California is under lockdown, with the Los Angeles Times reporting there is still an active shooter.

6:06 PM ET:

Donald Trump has a cash bar at his election night party, because of course.

6 PM ET:

Polls have closed in parts of Indiana and Kentucky, and welcome to the Culturess Election 2016 live blog. Keep checking back here throughout the night. We’re in this for the long haul if you are.

Additionally, a spokesperson for former president George W. Bush has confirmed to CBS News that he and his wife Laura did not vote for anyone for president but voted Republican downticket:

Ouch.

5:33 PM ET:

Trump campaign spokesman Jason Miller just told Wolf Blitzer on CNN that he doesn’t think Trump needs Ohio, Florida, or North Carolina.

Simply put: NBC News’ electoral map makes it clear that Trump needs at least Florida to have a shot of winning the presidency at all. So nice try!

5:25 PM ET:

Early exit polls say that Hillary Clinton has a 54% unfavorable rating and Donald Trump 61%, according to ABC News. Emphasis on early, because polls haven’t even closed yet.

3:23 PM ET:

Yeah, a Nevada judge dismissed the Trump lawsuit in Clark County, citing the Trump lawyer’s failure to speak to county officials before coming to court.

2:51 PM ET:

Donald Trump’s campaign has sued Clark County, accusing officials of keeping the polls open too late during early voting. Via Jon Ralston, who was at the hearing:

So yeah, don’t worry about that suit.

10:51 AM ET:

Hillary Clinton wins the Guam straw poll with 71%. Although the territory does not have any electoral votes, it has correctly called the winner since the first straw poll in the 1980’s. So, you know: good sign!

12:06 AM ET:

Dixville Notch, New Hampshire, has voted, and Hillary Clinton won the first-in-the-nation polling with a whopping 4 votes (out of 8). Mitt Romney got a write-in vote.

Both Trump and Clinton have already voted (for themselves, which must be pretty weird when you think about it). Polls are open, people can vote, and we have some helpful tips on finding your polling place.

Although the presidential campaign is important, key Senate and House races will also play a part in shaping the next four years. We’ll update on those as well.
