Jack Taylor (One Fine Day)

If you don’t love George Clooney, you can probably assume your mother or brother or uncle or aunt or grandma or someone in your family does. He is one of those ‘universally attractive’ men that people must melt over. Jack Taylor is no different (and it is probably completely because George Clooney played him)

Following the story of two single parents who have to watch their kids when they miss a field trip, One Fine Day is unique in a lot of ways. It showed the struggle of being a single parent while also trying to date and be their own people.

Melanie Parker (Michelle Pfeiffer) was an accomplished architect at a time when women in films were usually just housewives or secretaries. She was the boss and it was amazing to see. And on top of that, she ends up with George Clooney. That’s a win-win situation right there.

The normal George Clooney swag was out in full force for Jack. He made Jack what we now know as very typically George Clooney but at the time, it was a relatively new thing. No matter, One Fine Day is still an incredible film and who doesn’t love a good movie with young George Clooney in it?
