Joe Fox (You’ve Got Mail)

Tom Hanks has become America’s dad but before that, he was our love interest. With such classics as Sleepless in Seattle and Joe Vs The Volcano, he was classified as our leading romantic male actor time and time again.

When You’ve Got Mail came around, he had since made sure we knew he was also an incredible actor outside of the romantic comedy genre. He came back to what we loved him for and we loved even more for it.

Joe Fox, the son of a man who owned a Barnes and Noble-esque bookstore franchise, wants to knock out a small bookstore that is in the area. The woman who owns it (Meg Ryan) hates the idea of Joe Fox in the beginning but she begins emailing him unknowingly and falls in love.

You’ve Got Mail is, hands down, Tom Hanks best romantic movie. It’s clever and fun and has an amazing soundtrack and who doesn’t love Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan movies? To this day people still talk to Tom about it because it’s an iconic film, one that many continue to watch despite how outdated it has become (I mean, their emails do alert them by saying ‘you’ve got mail’). But it’s a great movie and Tom Hanks as Joe Fox is everything we’ve all ever needed in our lives.
