Miley Cyrus

Like her or not, Miley Cyrus has worked her way up in the world of feminism. Disney kid star turned Madonna 2.0, Cyrus is taking over the scene of self expression, and speaking out for women’s rights. She started off as a teen pop idol in Hannah Montana but quickly realized she belonged down a different path. In 2013, MTV deemed her “Artist of the Year” with hits like “Party in the U.S.A.” and “Can’t Be Tamed.” She was on the Time 100 list of most influencial people in both 2008 and 2014, but had an extremely different image between those years.

Cyrus is known for her individuality, and her position on helping women see themselves as beautiful:

"“Beauty is the enemy. We try to conquer not feeling beautiful all our lives. It’s a battle that can’t be won. There’s no definition of beauty. The only way to achieve beauty is to feel it from inside without breaking down into individual physical attributes.”"

Women across the world look up to this pop sensation, and I can see why. She’s expressive. She’s eccentric. And she’s incredibly content with being the truest self she can be. There are plenty of ways to dress up like Miley Cyrus for Halloween; all you have to do is pick one.
