Ron Swanson

Ron Swanson is a hard one to pin down. He hates government but he also hates people who disrespect women. So, when it came to voting, what would he actually do?

At first, it would seem as if he wouldn’t vote at all. That was typically his motivation on the show. Anything to do with government, he didn’t want to be a part of (despite his working in government). And maybe, at one point, he’d fight Leslie on Hillary.

But then the minute that Trump’s tapes were released and Ron heard the things he said (from someone else in the office because Ron doesn’t use social media), he’d be against the man. He loves and respects women too much to let someone like Trump run America into the ground.

There would definitely be a scene where Ron talks to the camera about “Make America Great Again” and explains what really makes America great (mainly steak and whiskey).

Lucky for everyone, Ron Swanson himself answered this question for us. Nick Offerman (who played Ron) had been getting frequently asked about how Ron would feel about this election. We all know Ron hates the government but he would hate someone like Trump a little too much not to do his part.
