After episode 5 of How to Get Away with Murder dropped a few reveals, it left us with plenty of questions going forward. Here are 3 things we have to know.
In case the title didn’t tip you off, this will contain plenty of spoilers for episode 5 of How to Get Away with Murder Season 3. We have a recap ready for you if you need a refresher.
Well, the show promised that episode 5 would be about Frank. It certainly wasn’t kidding, either. However, Frank didn’t stay around for long. Moreover, we learned quite a bit more about what’s going on in the flash-forward.
Going into episode 6, with just 3 episodes left until we find out the identity of the person under the sheet, we have some questions.

Where did Frank go?
Frank certainly expressed a desire to run off with Bonnie after she found him. He even suggested they have children together. Unfortunately, he then disappeared when she went out to get food. He believes Annalise wants him dead, and apparently he just didn’t trust Bonnie enough.
Will he actually circle around until the night of the fire? Perhaps he’s the person under the sheet. After all, the fire department found Laurel in the house. Frank stands as one of the leading candidates for fathering her baby.
We also now know that the person under the sheet is a man, narrowing our list down to Asher, Wes, Frank, Nate, and Connor among the major characters. You could conceivably add Simon Drake to the list, but he mostly seems to stand as an antagonist for the Keating 5 in class.
Will Simon keep quiet?
Speaking of Mr. Drake, who acted quite gleefully when he thought Annalise wouldn’t return to teach class, he’s the culprit behind the killer posters on campus. Oliver found the image file by searching through his laptop, which Michaela stole.
Annalise then paid him a visit to make sure he knows better than to continue with the smear campaign. However, just because she’s stopped that doesn’t mean he won’t try and take her down. She may be getting her license back, and she may be able to teach again soon, but we don’t think Simon will give up that easily.
For some reason, he just really doesn’t like her. He seems to also have an issue with her favoritism of the Keating 5. Perhaps he’ll try and dig into her secrets further?
What’s Michaela’s mom doing there?
Episode 5 contained plenty of allusions and questions to Michaela’s mysterious past. Finally, in the flash-forward, we found out that not only did she survive, but her mother is paying a visit. (Her mom actually answers Connor’s phone, which was hiding in Michaela’s couch. Sneaky phones do that.)
So, why is Mom-chaela in town? How much more will we learn about the family history? Is she supporting her daughter through a break-up with Asher? That doesn’t seem like a good answer, though.
