Marilyn Manson, “This is Halloween”, 2006

And here’s our second viewing of “This is Halloween”, this time covered by one of weirdest and scariest guys on Earth, Marilyn Manson. On Halloween, this cover version gets almost 13x the amount of views than other days of the year.

"I am the one hiding under your bed Teeth ground sharp and eyes glowing red I am the one hiding under yours stairs Fingers like snakes and spiders in my hair This is Halloween, this is Halloween Halloween! Halloween! Halloween! Halloween! In this town we call home Everyone hail to the pumpkin song"

Mr. Occult and weirdo extraordinaire, Marilyn Manson, covered “This is Halloween” in 2006 for the special edition release of The Nightmare Before Christmas Soundtrack. Manson’s version was also included on cover album, Nightmare Revisited in 2008. Nightmare Revisited commemorated the film’s 15th anniversary and included songs covered by other artists like Korn, Rise Against, Flyleaf, and The All-American Rejects.

Manson performed “This is Halloween” live on The Tonight Show in 2006. About his cover of the iconic film’s theme song, Manson said once, “It will be the vampire national anthem, black panties all across the world will moisten at the sound of my voice.”

*Checks panties*

Maybe next time, Marilyn.
