The average increase in views for “Ghostbusters”, according to YouTube, is 15.6x what it gets every other day. Who ya gonna call?

“Ghostbusters” was written as the theme song for the eponymous movie and was modeled after cheap commercial jingles. Ghostbusters the movie wasn’t necessarily released as a Halloween film, though. It debuted in theaters in June of 1984. Because of it’s spooky story line, however, it has become a Halloween-time fave over the years for many a ghost-bustin’ wannabe.

Fun fact: Ray Parker Jr.’s “Ghostbusters” was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song. It lost to Stevie Wonder’s “I Just Called to Say I Love You”, which happens to be one of the best Valentine’s day songs of all time.
