As Crazy Ex-Girlfriend season 2 quickly approaches, we look back at some of the best moments of its whimsical, musical first season.

As arguably one of the best new shows to premiere last fall, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend immediately captured our hearts. With its endlessly charming blend of basic feminist values, goofy cast of characters, sometimes-surreal scenarios, and abundant familiar-but-heartwarming romances, we quickly fell into Rachel Bloom’s magical world and got stuck there. Watching (often through cracks in our fingers) our protagonist, Rebecca Bunch, get herself in and out of trouble was a weekly joy, but watching her do it in full-scale musical numbers was sheer bliss. And as season 2’s premiere is days away (October 21st at 9PM E.T. on The CW!), it’s time to go back and revisit some of season 1’s greatest hits.
