Regina Spektor, Remember Us to Life, September 30th

Regina Spektor is one of the few artists in modern music that has a voice you can’t forget. Or, more accurately, you will always know it. You hear that sort of breathy-wisp in her high notes and you immediately know it’s her.

Remember Us to Life is the first album since What We Saw from the Cheap Seats in 2012. And, of course, fans of Weeds and Orange Is The New Black will know two famous intro songs, “Little Boxes”, a cover she did for the theme song of Weeds (Showtime), and “You’ve Got Time”, the current theme for OITNB on Netflix.

"All my love In black and white On this color photograph Sad sad eyes Know too much You will always start to cry Why should I wait for tomorrow? Why should I wait for tomorrow? When you left I closed the door Closed my eyes Sat on the floor Heart beat fast Mind got slow This great love is All I know -“Black and White”"

This new album has a lot to live up to. What We Saw from the Cheap Seats received great reviews, some even claiming it was Spektor’s best work yet. I can’t wait to hear what she has come up with this time, which makes this album one to watch for.
