Track 14: “Winter Of Our Youth”, 3:23

You ever hear a song title and think, “Oh God, I hope this thing is as good as the title”? That happens to me a lot, because there are a lot of really solid song titles out there and I’m easily excitable. Alas, I’m often left disappointed, though. Bands just can’t deliver on their promises so easy.

This was one of those times. The title gives me a feeling of melancholy and distance that only a song could make me want to feel, and it doesn’t disappoint in delivering on it’s promise. Need proof? “I’ve got nostalgia running through me, and I don’t like it.”

Me, neither, brother, but keep singin’ anyways, cuz I’m masochistic that way.

"“I know the winter’s getting colder But why, just cause we’re a little older do I relive it, I relive it Oh, I’m peddling backwards Even if I’m peddling alone Can’t help it I relive it, I relive it, oh”"

There are hints of “Weight Of Living” and ” Flaws” from Bad Blood in this track, although I wouldn’t necessarily consider it a ballad.

Listen out for Dan’s lower register voice at the very end- we don’t hear that very often, and it’s smooth as butta.
