The 23 Best Mulder and Scully Moments

#21: Dreamland II
This one is REALLY fun, and it’s a two-parter, and there is no end to the joy a good body-switching romp brings me- especially when one of those bodies is Mulder’s body.
In some unexplainable, Area 51-related, X-Filey twist of science and/or magic, Mulder gets thrown into the body of a Syndicate sympathizer, who, in turn, gets to live inside of Ol’ Fox for a while. It’s truly bizarre, and of course, Mulder ends up inadvertently ruining so many aspects of this man’s boring, corrupt life.
On the other hand, Mulder’s body-snacher, newly strapped with the advantages of looking like that and frequently being near Dana Scully, really goes hard. He buys Mulder a water bed, which he tries to lure Scully into. He hits on every woman who walks through the bureau’s halls. He flexes in front of a mirror for a very long time…which, to be fair, is probably something actual Mulder would do, too.
By the end of the two parts, Scully finally figures out what’s going on; all it takes for her to become suspicious is “Mulder” slapping her ass at work. (C’mon, DS. Where’s that skepticism when you need it?) Even so, the agents have no idea how to reverse the process, and Mulder and Scully try to come to terms with his new body. Of course she doesn’t end up having to, but I have a feeling she’d be willing to make some sacrifices, if it came to that.
