10 Actresses We’d Love To See Play “Jane Bond”

7. Danai Gurira
It’s entirely possible that this list is devolving into suggestions merely based on women who kick ass, but come on. On the list of completely badass ladies, Danai Gurira has definitely shot to one of the top spots over the last several years.
Primarily, we have her role as Michonne on AMC’s The Walking Dead to thank for that – she made wielding a sword in the zombie apocalypse the coolest thing anyone could ever possibly do – but she was also recently announced to be joining the cast of the upcoming Black Panther movie. According to reports, Gurira will be playing the head of the Dora Milaje, the group of female bodyguards who serve to protect the Black Panther himself, King T’Challa. In the world of the Black Panther comics, the Dora Milaje are calm under pressure and don’t take crap from anyone (we saw a hint of that from the Dora Milaje cameo in Captain America: Civil War, at which point the internet exploded). Gurira’s poker face is something else; her Bond would absolutely fit in to the more recent grittier series of movies, and I’m also certain that she could withstand anything that rival agencies would try to throw at her. Maybe Gurira’s Bond could also swap a gun for a sword? Anything’s possible.
